Itsatashathing: an app called Vinted

Hi everyone,

Today I want to talk to you about an app called vinted. This can be downloaded from the apple and android app stores. You don't have to download the app as you can use it via a computer.

Vinted is an app where you can buy, sell and swap clothes. A little while ago vinted introduced being able to sell men's clothing, children's clothing, intimates and beauty products. I love Vinted as you can list for free and you will only get charged a small selling fee if you sell an item.

I have been on Vinted for over a year now and have sold, brought and swapped many items. I currently have a total of 77 items for sale. There are a large community one the site of what we call 'Vinties'. The Vinted community is lovely and you talk to one another via the forums.

Forums have different categories where you can create discussions about different topics. There is also a people and relationships category where you can seek advice from the community anonymously.

My username is tashah.

I will go through a few things you can see on the app:

-Favourite items: favourite items (as you can see I have many) means when you like an item but may not have the money for it or want to explore other items, it gets put there so you can go back to it later. It's a bit like making a wish list.

-Personalisation: pretty self explanatory. Here you can change your size preferences, brands you like and follow and 'Vinties' you follow.

-Balance: again self explanatory. Here you can see when transactions have gone through how much you can withdraw or spend on Vinted. You can also see you pending balance from transactions you have made and are waiting for others to receive.

-My orders: here you can keep track of items you have sold or items you are waiting to receive.

-Bundle discount: bundle discount is a great incentive for other 'Vinties'. If you have this turned on (like I do) if someone has seen multiple items they like they can ask to do a bundle. They will then receive it at your discounted price. Discounts can be as little as 5% and as great as 50%.

-Invite friends and find friends: you can invite friends through email, Twitter or Facebook and find friends through Facebook and you mobiles address book.

-Holiday mode: if you are going away for a few days and won't be able to send items you can switch this on to avoid making people unhappy. You can even just switch this on if you want a break from selling items.

At the bottom which you can't see are settings, about Vinted and help centre.

Vinted also have their own social media accounts including a blog. (UK sites).

Vinted blog: https://www.vinted.co.uk/blog

Vinted Twitter: @vinteduk

Vinted Instagram: @vinteduk

Personally I love Vinted and have brought many lovely items. Have you got Vinted? If so share your usernames and purchases below.

My travel to-do list 2016

Hi everyone,

In 21 days exactly I will be on a plane to the island of Tenerife! I haven't been abroad since 2012. I am so excited to finally be going on holiday once again. However, this holiday will be the first without my parents. I will be going away with my boyfriend who has never been on holiday before. I like to see myself as an organised traveller, having everything I need with me and making sure everything is in place. So I thought I'd share with you my final to-do list.

First of all I need a clear bag containing clear bottles! This is one of the most important things to avoid any unnecessary hiccups at customs (I don't fancy being the person to hold up everyone in the que), not the best way to start your holiday. These little bags you can take in your hand luggage and are TSA approved. You can purchase them here at Superdrug for £3.99: http://tinyurl.com/h4laoov or any other retailer.

I need tissues! Just in case you or anyone around you needs one. You don't want to have to run to the toilets on the airplane if you sneeze or for any other reason when you can have them handy in your carry-on. These ones are cute that I've found from Primark, they are £2.00 for a pack of four: http://tinyurl.com/zorz2aw they have a lovely flower design on them.

Another necessity I need to get are some wet ones! We've all had that feeling when you've taken a sticky sweet from a bag and it's gone all over your fingers. You need a quick fix. Or, maybe you want to refresh your face, or wipe your mouth. I'm going to choose the 'wet ones be zingy'. They're a pack of 12 and I'm going to get these for a little extra refresh. Find them here at boots for £1.15 http://tinyurl.com/zu9frbl.

Now, if there was an award for the most sensitive lips on earth I think mine would win. Back when I was on holiday in 2016, I took with me a standard lip balm. Worst mistake. My lips where so sore and dry, basically sun burnt. I am not going to make the same mistake again and I am going to be buying the 'Nivea lip care sun protect SPF 30'. http://tinyurl.com/gnep4mr Boots have this one for £4.00. The best thing about this is it's waterproof so I don't have to worry that when I am in the pool it is going to wash off.

With any luck I won't need them but it's always handy to have some plasters. Superdrug have 'Elastoplast water resistant x40' for £2.39. I will put these in my carry-on just in case we happen to have any mishaps between check-in and Tenerife. Again they are waterproof, so perfect for getting in and out of the pool or sea. Find them here: http://tinyurl.com/hu3mpoa.

I also want to purchase a pack of footsie socks/shoe liners. These are hand if you have a pair of ballet pumps or converse Your feet are going to be able to breathe but without getting dreaded blisters. I found a pack of three from Matalan for £4.00. These have a cute leopard print design on them. Find them here: http://tinyurl.com/glt9t2p.

I think this is everything I need to get now for our holiday. Is there anything you forget? What do you always have to take with you? Leave it in the comments below :)
